Dreamer
is the first painting I did that was more realistic. Before that
I just did impressions of dolphins as I learned how to paint.
It was made into a greeting card. I learned by painting things and
then showing people and listening to their feedback. Mostly
from a friend, Heidi Fox, who was an artist, turned musician. In
hindsight I can say that when I started painting I was seeking approval
from others and wanting to feel special. After many years of people
telling me in one way or another that I am special, I found that
did not bring fulfillment. However, making others feel special did.
