This is an oil painting, my first painting of clouds. It took me a few tries to figure out how to make them look real.  I am a self-taught painter so sometimes I would experiment till I finally got something that looked good to me.  This was also the first painting that I used an airbrush on, just putting in slight rays of light.  This was used as a book cover by an Eastern teacher, Dhiravamsa, published by Blue Dolphin Press in Nevada City.
